NLMK DanSteel in Frederiksværk is Denmark's only steel rolling mill and one of Europe's most high-tech steel rolling mills. The mill has an annual production capacity of more than 700,000 tons of steel plates, which are primarily used for shipbuilding, construction projects, the transport sector, and the wind turbine industry.

We are one of only a few mills in Europe capable of supplying the high-quality steel plates needed for the production of modern onshore and offshore wind turbines. Today, more than 30% of our steel plates are used in the production of wind turbines.

Rooted in Danish industrial history

At NLMK DanSteel, we are more than 500 colleagues. With us, you will be part of a locally rooted company with roots in Danish industrial history, as steel has been produced in Frederiksværk since 1940. At the same time, you will be part of a European team where ambitions are high, and we work together as a team. We are part of NLMK Europe, which, in addition to Denmark, is located in Belgium, France, and Italy, and which together has well over 2,000 employees.

For example, we have many master engineers at the plant, and it's a role where you can work with project management, operations, and management, depending on where your interests lie.

One of DanSteel's great strengths is that within the same company, you have the opportunity to try different work areas and develop along the way – both in terms of tasks and education. My journey here at DanSteel has taken me from starting as an operator to becoming a team leader and now a production manager. Alongside this, I have received a lot of training that has prepared me for these significant responsibilities.

As the leader of our daily HR operations, including payroll, much of our work takes place behind the scenes of the company's core activities. We are the invisible link between everyone. We ensure that contracts and employment conditions are in place for all our employees, provide necessary support to our managers, and coordinate training and certifications across different professional groups. I work to ensure that employees receive the correct salary and that we offer an attractive salary package and overall employee conditions. I am responsible for implementing legislative changes related to employment and salaries and ensuring communication about these changes.
