Who Are You?

You are currently pursuing the workshop internship as part of your marine engineering education and are looking for a placement where you can enhance your craftsmanship skills and learn from experienced professionals. You are interested in maintenance, process optimization, and teamwork within a complex industrial context.

At NLMK DanSteel, we are looking for interns who want to challenge themselves and take responsibility in one of Denmark's most exciting production companies.

What Does a Workshop Intern Do at NLMK DanSteel?

As a workshop intern, you will work on one of the most advanced production lines in the steel industry. Your tasks may include:

  • Maintenance and repair of production equipment and machinery.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Collaborating with marine engineers and technicians to optimize production.

You will work closely with our team, including approximately 20 marine engineers who ensure the optimal operation of Denmark's only steel rolling mill. According to Morten Bregner Kristensen, Marine Engineer and Head of Maintenance, NLMK DanSteel offers many opportunities:

The Internship Program

The workshop internship at NLMK DanSteel combines practical learning with insights into a large industrial company: Introduction: You will get to know the company and its systems. Practical Experience: You will become part of the team and gain hands-on experience with tasks that enhance your craftsmanship skills. Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: You will work across departments and gain insight into how marine engineers contribute to operations and development.
