Would you like to work at Denmark’s only steel plate mill and become part of an international industrial group operating across Europe?

At NLMK DanSteel, we are looking for a structured and analytical Commercial Controller to support our commercial controlling activities across the Plate division in Europe. You will join an international environment where data, market insight and commercial understanding play a key role in supporting business decisions and performance development.

This is a position with broad exposure across commercial reporting, profitability analysis, pricing support and cross-site coordination.

Your role
Reporting functionally to the Head of Commercial Controlling Europe, you will be responsible for supporting and developing reporting and analytical processes related to the commercial business area.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of weekly and monthly commercial reports and management presentations covering sales volumes, prices, margins, spreads, profitability, receivables, stock analysis and claims
• Consolidation and analysis of commercial data across three European Plate production sites
• Analysis of actual sales performance compared to budget and previous periods
• Monitoring and analysis of market indices compared with internal company performance
• Preparation of ad hoc analytical reports using SAP-based information systems
• Reconciliation and validation of data between systems such as SAP S/4HANA, Apex and Power BI
• Support in the preparation of annual financial reporting material
• Support in preparing presentations and materials for Budget Committee processes
• Responding to reporting and analysis requests from departments such as Treasury, Tax and Credit Risk
• Participation in the development of pricing methodologies and commercial analytical tools

Your profile
We are looking for a controller minded and detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with data, reporting and cross-functional collaboration in an international industrial environment.

We expect that you have:

• At least 2 years of experience as Financial Analyst, Financial Controller or Reporting Specialist in a larger company
• Experience working with SAP S/4HANA and Power BI
• A higher education degree within Finance, Economics or similar
• Professional English skills

In addition, it is an advantage if you have:

• Knowledge of management reporting standards
• Understanding of pricing processes and cost structures
• Basic accounting knowledge
• Understanding of macroeconomic principles
• Experience handling large data sets and complex reporting structures
• Advanced Excel skills, including complex financial modelling (macro experience is considered an advantage)
• Strong PowerPoint skills

As a person, you are analytical, structured and responsible. You are comfortable working with deadlines and large amounts of information while maintaining a high level of accuracy. At the same time, you are collaborative, communicative and able to work across functions and cultures.

We can offer you a temporary employment contract for 1.5 years from your start date. If you perform well, other exciting opportunities may arise, allowing the temporary position to be converted into a permanent role within the controlling team in Denmark or with in Europe.
